This allows us to gain an intimate understanding of each client’s tax history, and it’s why we’ve been so successful at building lasting relationships within our community.

Meet the owner of Avant’s Tax Service!
JAN AVANT, OWNER
Jan has worked in the accounting industry for more than 25 years and holds a BS Degree in Business Administration with a Major in Accounting from the University of South Carolina. She started preparing taxes during college where she worked as a tax preparer for Jackson Hewitt.
Soon after graduation, she began training and working for CPA Firms where she received years of experience in Taxes, Payroll, Quarterly Reports, Bookkeeping, Financial Reporting, and Auditing. For more than a decade, she has worked in the private accounting sector as a Financial Analyst and Bookkeeper.
In 2021, she partnered with founder Wally Avant to work full-time at Avant’s Tax Service, where she now serves as owner.
LOCATION AND OFFICE HOURS
LOCATION
Avant’s Tax Service is located just north of the Georgetown City limits in the Beneventum Plantation area at 23 Amanda Drive, Georgetown, SC 29440.
NORMAL OPERATING HOURS – BY APPOINTMENT ONLY
During tax season, January 15 – April 15, the office is open:
Monday through Friday: 9 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.
Saturday & Sunday: 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.

DROP OFF SERVICES
Drop-off services are available during normal office hours. This service is only available to returning guests and cannot be extended to new clients. An information request sheet must be filled out for all guests requesting drop off services. Drop-offs are completed on a first come, first serve basis.
HOURS OUTSIDE OF TAX SEASON
Outside of tax season, office hours are limited to Tuesdays between 9-5 pm by appointment only.
